Caesars Palace are the latest casino to jump on board the vegas based mobile marketing and they have launched their first iPhone App. This is the first ever GPS mobile marketing tool to be launched in the hospitality industry. Starting from this month guests will be able to find restaurant hours and hotel information as well as booking a spa or salon treatment. Guests will also be able to use the app to see who is performing in The Colosseum and more. This resort is the first in the hospitality industry to feature opt in GPS capabilities which can customize offers to venues that are located near the user.
If a guest opts in to the GPS capabilities they will be presented with location specific marketing offering throughout their stay. Caesars Palace can then track when a guest is at any of Harrah’s Entertainment properites and then provide them with special offers for those hotels and casinos.
An example of this would be if a Caesars Palace guest were to visit the Flamingo, the app can then provide the guest with a special offer that is only available at Flamingo. Hotel visitors can also use Caesars Palace’s new Texpress whre they can actually check into the hotel from their mobile phone. A day before your visit you can text the resort and you can then by pass the front desk check in line and proceed straight to the bell desk where your room keys will be waiting for you.
This new technology that is available from Caesars Palace has really put them ahead of their competition. This is a totally new technology that is being made available in the hospitality industry and it should prove to be extremely popular too.
